5 Must-Try Studio Fitness Classes at In-Shape

In-Shape | 14 Jan, 2022 | Workouts | Return|

Working out at the club by yourself can be great—just you, your tunes (or podcast) and whatever equipment you’re using that day. But maybe you’ve walked by the studios at your club and seen everyone inside sweating and smiling and wondered—is that for me?

Working out with others can boost motivation and make exercising really fun—which can help you work out harder and longer. Some people love all of our studio fitness classes, while others will tell you there’s a single class that has their heart. So, how do you know what you’ll like?

Easy—start here. If you’re new to In-Shape or have just never given studio classes a shot, here are the five classes you’ve GOTTA try.

1. BODYPUMP

If you’ve never lifted weights, BODYPUMP is the perfect way to dip your toes in—and you’re missing out if you don’t give this class a try. You’ll use a lightweight barbell to perform classic weightlifting moves to music. In-Shape members LOVE this class because it’s a ton of fun and you’ll see results fast.

2. BODYCOMBAT

Punch and kick your way through your first BODYCOMBAT class and find out why this awesome cardio workout made the list. Don’t worry, this class has zero contact, so you don’t have to have any martial arts experience. Just bring water and a towel (because you WILL get sweaty) and be ready to work. This class will get you fitter, faster and stronger.

3. Zumba

We’re pretty sure you’ve at least heard of this one, but have you ever experienced it? Zumba is a worldwide phenomenon, currently spanning 186 countries. This class might be the most fun you’ve ever had working out, because it just feels like a dance party.

4. Cycle

If you’re looking for a low-impact workout, try one of our cycle classes. Even though they’re easy on the joints, they still majorly deliver on the intensity. Look for Beatz RIDE, RPM, Les Mills SPRINT, or FREESTYLE RIDE on your group fitness schedule!

5. M7: HIIT

Get ready to HIIT your fitness goals with this High-Intensity Interval Training workout. This class is super short—just 30 minutes—but your coach will challenge you to a full-body workout that will help you improve your strength and cardio.
