Our Favorite Healthy Snacks From Trader Joe’s

Who doesn’t love discovering new tasty foods to try at Trader Joes? We can’t think of a better place for a snack run.

It can be tough to find snacks that tick off the three big boxes: healthy, delicious AND fast. To keep your busy life easy, we’re bringing you a list of our favorite healthy snacks from Trader Joe’s. Keep these delicious options handy for that mid-afternoon slumps so you can stay fueled through the rest of your day. Happy snacking!

1. Cauliflower Crisps

A delicious way to get your veggies in! Cauliflower is the first ingredient. Perfectly seasoned and with just the right amount of crispy goodness, try these dipped in salsa or an olive tapenade for some added healthy fats.

2. Dry Roasted Almonds

Almonds are a great source of healthy fat, and even offer a small amount of protein. We like dry roasted because using oil to roast nuts turns a healthy nut into a not-so-healthy nut. Plus, you can choose salted or unsalted depending on your taste buds.

3. Roasted Seaweed Snack

When you’re craving something salty, these hit the spot! Seaweed is rich in minerals like iodine, selenium, calcium, and iron and are a perfect post-workout snack to replenish lost sodium.

4. Avocado Tzatziki Dip

Grab some raw veggies and dig into this delicious dip! We love it because it’s made with healthy avocado, Greek yogurt and cucumber.

5. Dried Beets

Not only are dried beets crunchy and sweet—they also make a great pre-workout snack. Beets contain nitric oxide, which can help bring more oxygen to your muscles which may help you work out longer.

6. Jicama Wraps

These are delicious and crunchy, with pre-biotic fiber which supports a healthy gut. They’re also super low in calories. You can fill them with avocado, hummus or a spread of almond butter and enjoy a roll-up to add some healthy fats to keep you fuller longer.

7. Peanut Date Bars
Peanut Date Bars

These bars taste great and they fill you up! With only five ingredients (peanuts, peanut butter, dates, flaxseed meal, and sea salt) they are a nice mix of carbohydrates, protein, and fat. Since they are individually wrapped, you can keep a few in your bag!

8. Grilled Veggies

These veggies are grilled and seasoned so they’re super flavorful. As a bonus, they are prepared with heart-healthy olive oil.

9. Turkey Jerky

When you still have a few hours until dinner, grab a bag of turkey jerky. The protein will keep you satisfied till dinnertime! These are great because you can keep them in your desk or car for a snacking emergency. Bonus: Trader Joes does not add nitrates to their jerky.

10. Dark Chocolate Wedges

If you have a sweet tooth, wedges are a great option. With only 35 calories and 1.5 grams of sugar, these are already portion controlled. (As long as you don’t eat the whole tin at once!) An 85% dark chocolate content gives this sweet treat a punch of antioxidants. Enjoy!
