Chia seeds come from a desert plant called Salvia hispanica which is a member of the mint family. We love including them in our smoothies because they're a great source of omega-3 fatty acids and contain a ton of fiber, antioxidants, protein, and minerals. They definitely pack a nutrition punch and we kinda like their nutty flavor too.

What you need:

  • 6 oz brewed coffee or 2 shots of espresso
  • 6 oz of milk or dairy alternative
  • ½ scoop of your favorite chocolate protein powder
  • ½ scoop of your favorite vanilla protein powder
  • 1 tsp of chia seeds
  • 1 tsp of freshly ground flaxseeds
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • Dash of cinnamon
  • Ice

What you do:

Add ingredients, in the above order, and blend until you get a delicious, creamy, icy morning treat!
