This is a simple, easy-to-follow plan for tightening up fast - borrowed from The Knot, an online wedding guide. Call it a do-it-yourself boot camp class.

It assumes you have six months to prepare for your big day. If you don’t, modify as needed to create your own personalized bridal boot camp.

Week 1 – 20 minutes of brisk activity to get your blood pumping like jogging, running, elliptical, walking) three times per week.
Week 2-4  – 30 minutes of brisk activity three times per week.
Week 5-6 – 40 minutes of brisk activity three times per week. Kick it up with 2 sets of 10 stomach crunches plus 10 push-ups.
Week 7-8 – 40 minutes of brisk activity three times per week. This time add 3 sets of 10 stomach crunches and 2 sets of 10 push-ups.
Week 9-10 – 40 minutes of brisk activity three times per week plus 3 sets of 10 stomach crunches, 2 sets of 10 push-ups, 1 set of 10 squats. You should be seeing some encouraging results by now. Don’t give up!
Week 11-12 – 40 minutes of brisk activity three times per week plus 3 sets of 10 stomach crunches, 2 sets of 10 push-ups, 2 sets of 10 squats, 2 sets of 10 bicep curls, 2 sets of 10 tricep curls
Week 13-14 – 40 minutes of brisk activity three times per week plus 3 sets of 10 stomach crunches, 3 sets of 10 push-ups, 3 sets of 10 squats, 3 sets of 10 tricep curls, 3 sets of 10 bicep curls, 2 sets of 10 chest presses.
Week 15-16 -  40 minutes of brisk activity three times per week plus 3 sets of 10 stomach crunches, 3 sets of 10 push-ups, 3 sets of 10 squats, 3 sets of 10 bicep curls, 3 sets of 10 tricep curls, 3 sets of 10 chest presses.
Week 17-24 – 40 minutes of brisk activity three times per week plus 3 sets of 10 stomach crunches, 3 sets of 10 push-ups, 3 sets of 10 squats, 3 sets of 10 bicep curls, 3 sets of 10 tricep curls, 3 sets of 10 chest presses and 3 sets of 15 extra target areas (wherever you need the most work).
