HOW CAN YOU STAY MOTIVATED DAY AFTER DAY?

WE’LL TELL YA HOW:

LET TECHNOLOGY DO THE HARD WORK

Sometimes, it can be difficult to stay focused during your busy schedule, especially if you’re just starting to make lifestyle changes. Use calendar reminders on your computer or phone and set alarms that remind you of workouts, so you never forget again.

WEAR YOUR EXERCISE GEAR

Now by this, we don’t mean wear a sweatband or ankle weights all day. What we mean is to wear a fitness tracker every day to serve as a visual reminder to get up and move. It also tracks your progress and helps you keep track of your health.

PLAN A WORKOUT WITH A PAL

Instead of meeting a friend for a meal or a movie, schedule an exercise session so you guys can talk and catch up. Walking also counts—so finding a fun activity that forces you to be up on your feet and walking is an easy way to stay active.

PUMP UP THE JAMS

Bust out your favorite tunes or make a brand-new playlist—any music will do. Did you know many athletes train to their favorite music because it has an effect on the brain, causing them to feel positive emotions about exercise?

BREAK THE MOLD

Don’t just haphazardly do a workout on the treadmill or elliptical. Hit the courts (the baseball, racquetball and tennis ones, that is) or try a group class. Find what you love to do, and keep doing it!
