Track your steps – With all the new technology in fitness it’s easy to keep track of all your movements as well as your nutrition. A great way to keep yourself moving throughout the day is to track your steps. Set a goal, whether it’s daily or weekly and push yourself to accomplish it.
Daily Challenges – 30-Day challenges are a hit! A different exercise for each day is a great way to keep your body working. Vow to participate in a new one monthly. Focus on different exercise types or different muscle groups. Find a daily challenge that encompasses your fitness goals and helps you garner the results you are looking for.
Challenge a friend – It’s always important to find ways to keep yourself accountable to your workout. Challenging a friend is a perfect way to do this. You can keep on top of each other. Get competitive! See who can do the most jumping jacks in a minute, count steps and see who can walk the most in a week or task each other with getting into the gym at least three times a week, loser buys a treat.
Strength Challenge – Building muscle is the best way to lose weight. Challenge yourself to pump more iron this month. Do ten more minutes of weights next time you’re in the gym. Push yourself and do ten more squats or ten more pushups. Challenge yourself and add lunges to your exercise routine.
Clean Eats Challenge – Exercise is important, but in order to stay healthy for a lifetime and continue seeing results you have to eat healthy. Start off by drinking lots of water. Keeping hydrated will provide you with more energy throughout the day. Settle down on the sugar and eat more veggies, fruits, proteins and whole grains. Avoid the caffeine as much as possible.
