It’s been argued that turmeric is the most effective nutritional supplement around. It has major benefits for your body and brain thanks to the active ingredient, curcumin. Curcumin is a superhero when it comes to its anti-inflammatory capabilities.

What’s all the hype around anti-inflammation you ask?

Well, inflammation is actually a good thing. It helps your body fight foreign invaders and also helps repair damage. According to Healthline, it also protects your body against pathogens like bacteria. This short-term inflammation is good for the body, but the problem is chronic, low-level inflammation. Scientists are now seeing that it is part of the puzzle in Western diseases like heart disease, cancer, metabolic syndrome, and Alzheimer’s.

So, fighting this low-level inflammation that is so prevalent can help prevent, and in some cases treat, these types of diseases.

Dosing up on curcumin in supplement form and in your diet (as long as it is consumed with black pepper so you can absorb it) can be as powerful as some anti-inflammatory drugs without the harsh side effects.

Try this delicious Golden Mylk Latte as a special caffeine free (if you want), anti-inflammatory afternoon treat!
