#InShapeFightsCancer Recap: Juggling for Jude
#InShapeFightsCancer is off to a great start. We kicked off the week on Sunday at Antioch In-Shape with a fundraising bootcamp and soccer clinic benefitting St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Hosted by Hollis Belger, 13 year-old soccer juggler, major fundraiser and founder of Juggling for Jude, the event was a huge success and TONS of fun.
Families arrived to killer tunes from KUIC, face painting for kids, and some delicious and nutritious snacks. After a welcome from KUIC’s Donna Perry and some words about St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital from Hollis, In-Shape personal trainer Tobias Young led a family bootcamp. Parents and kids both enjoyed the fun workout from jumping jacks and fun dance moves to push-ups and lunges!
After the bootcamp, Hollis shared her top four tips and tricks to juggling with just her feet for over 23 minutes without dropping the soccer ball. Kids practiced each tip and even competed in a juggling competition. The fun didn’t stop there. Kids competed in a soccer shootout to show off their powerful goal scoring abilities and of course to win some cool prizes.
After the clinic, families had some fun in the sun by the beautiful outdoor pool. Thank you to all the families that joined us! Together we can raise money to help in the fight against cancer.
