Key Lime Pie Smoothie
With their aromatic, floral, tart and refreshing flavor, key limes are a quintessential taste of summer. Plus, their key season is June to August (sorry, we couldn’t resist!). This month’s Recharge Card celebrates these summer super stars with a mouthwatering, healthy protein shake based on the traditional American dessert, Key Lime Pie.
What you need:
- 1 cup of vanilla almond milk (or your milk of choice)
- ½ frozen banana
- 1 tablespoon of freshly squeezed key lime juice
- 1 teaspoon of chia seeds
- 1 tablespoon of vanilla Greek yogurt
- 1 scoop of your favorite vanilla protein powder
- A handful of Ice cubes
- Crushed graham crackers (to garnish)
Place them in your blender in the above order, garnish with crushed graham crackers and transport yourself to summers in the South. *Side effects may include accent and charm upon consumption.
