In-Shape is excited to be partnering with the Kern County Public Health Department on their latest “Know Your Numbers” Campaign. For six weeks, our In-Shape Coaches will guide participants through a workout each week then a nutritionist will coach everyone on healthy eating habits. This free six week program will help participants understand important numbers (BMI, Cholesterol, Blood Glucose, Blood Pressure) coupled with nutrition education and fitness classes.

Join us every Monday, October 11 - November 15 at Beale Library, 701 Truxtun Ave. in Bakersfield.

  

 

Week 1 - Monday, October 4

 

Nutrition: Progression
Start with small changes.

Fitness Class: Low Impact
Join Coach Andy to learn the different aspects of fitness. There's something for everyone at every fitness level.

 

Week 2 - Monday, October 11

 

Nutrition: Healthy Ratios
Learn more about isolating food groups and healthy food ratios (40/30/30).

Fitness Class: Zumba
Let’s dance and see how fun fitness can be! Led by Coach Condy.

 

Week 3 - Monday, October 18

 

Nutrition: One-on-One Consultations
Sign up for a one-on-one nutrition and fitness consultation with Coach Andy or Coach Josh.

Fitness Class: Yoga
This gentle yoga class, led by Coach Leah, will focus on isolating and strengthening one muscle group at a time.

Nutrition: FAQ’S
Come learn the answers to frequently asked questions on nutrition.

 

Fitness: STRENGTH
In this strength-building workout, participants will work at their own pace, set their own goals, and practice self-motivation. Led by Coach Josh.

 

 

Week 5 - Monday, November 1

 

Nutrition: Hidden Veggies
Learn tips on how to intake the food groups we all NEED but may not like.

Fitness Class: POP PILATES®
Using body weight to build strength, this class will remind everyone that workouts can be done anywhere. Led by Coach Heather.

 

 

Week 6 - Monday, November 8

 

Nutrition: Planning
Learn about meal prep and get tips for healthy snacks-on-the-go.

Fitness Class: M7:HIIT and Les Mills Core®
A high-intensity class that will build core strength and get your hearts pumping! Led by Coach Jaime and Coach Josh.
