Then & Now: Lisa Hodges

I have always had a hard time keeping weight off. In 2003, I hit 232 lbs. and knew I had to make some changes. I worked hard to shed 60 lbs. and felt great. Then I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2010 and realized that my health was more important than ever. Today, I am a 2x cancer survivor and work hard to stay healthy. Since my cancer feeds off of estrogen and estrogen increases with body fat, I work out on a regular basis. I love my Solano In-Shape staff and the many friends I’ve made over the years. I walk into In-Shape every day knowing that exercise will increase my chances of living a long life with my family. I believe that each day is a gift and my friends and family are absolutely worth my 4-6 days of running and weight lifting every week!
