Mint Mojito Smoothie
With the summer vacation almost coming to an end, who’s to say the summer mentality has to end? Plus, as Californians we are lucky to have that summer sun and pool time stick around the next few months. We have just the thing to keep that sunny disposition and playful personality – a Mint Mojito Smoothie.
This smoothie is packed full of protein to keep you fuller for longer, earns its sweetness from fresh fruit (thanks dates!), serves up a dose of healthy fats (thanks avocado!) and is punching above its weight in terms of nutritional benefits (thanks spirulina!).
And, once you try it, we have a feeling you might be whipping it up all year long.
What you need:
- 1 ½ cup coconut milk
- 1 scoop vanilla protein powder
- ½ an avocado
- 2 tbsp. hemp seeds
- 1/2 tsp. spirulina (or scoop of nutritional green powder)
- 4 tbsp. freshly squeezed lime juice
- 1 frozen banana
- 2 dates, pitted
- 1 handful fresh mint leaves (20-25 leaves)
