Change out the roster and tap into the talent of zucchini and cauliflower to up your smoothie game this month. Add blueberries, bananas and dates for the WIN!


Adding veggies to our morning smoothies is old news – spinach and kale are MVPs in our smoothie game. But it’s time to change out the roster and tap into talent that might have to compete for the illustrious title of rookie of the year – cauliflower and zucchini!


The cauliflower in this smoothie will up the vitamin C, B and fiber levels while dishing out a dose of serious antioxidants. The zucchini is a great replacement for additional bananas which can add unnecessary sugar. With the zukes you get the texture without the glucose spike.  The blueberries, bananas and dates balance it out for a delicious and nutritious addition to your blending book!


Blend the following and enjoy:

-          1 cup frozen blueberries

-          1 banana, peeled

-          ¼ cup cauliflower florets, chopped and frozen

-          ½ small zucchini, chopped and frozen

-          1 tsp ground cinnamon

-          3 Medjool dates, pitted

-          1 cup unsweetened almond, oat or coconut milk
