Pumpkin Pie Protein Shake
Not only can you have your pie, but you can eat it too with this month’s Recharge Card – a healthy protein shake featuring everyone’s favorite seasonal flavor, pumpkin.
Made with pumpkin spice and everything nice, this bad boy protects your peepers with a mean dose of beta-carotene while keeping you full for longer with lots of fiber and protein. The carotenoids in pumpkin neutralize free radicals to fight cancer and help give your skin that glossy, wrinkle-free glow. And on top of that, the pumpkin is packed with potassium which will refuel your tired muscles after a hard workout.
While pie for breakfast is usually reserved only for the day after Thanksgiving, we won’t tell if you dig into this one all month long.
What you need:
1 cup milk of choice
1 cup frozen banana
1 cup pumpkin puree
1 scoop your favorite vanilla protein powder (we used Motiv8 Performance Vanilla Cake)
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp chia seeds
¾ tsp pumpkin pie spice
A pinch or two of ground ginger
What you do:
Blend milk, banana, pumpkin and protein powder. Add spices and chia seeds, pulse to combine.
