Our Featured Recipe: Mixed Berry Smoothie

This smoothie is the perfect way to start your day! Flaxseeds and walnuts are a great source of omega-3 fatty acids (those are the good ones!) and with the addition of spinach and plain low-fat yogurt, you're hitting your daily dose of probiotics AND getting a full serving of vegetables all in one delicious smoothie!

 

 

Blend together the following ingredients:

  • 12 oz water
  • 1 cup spinach
  • 2 cups frozen mixed berries
  • 1/2 cup plain low-fat yogurt
  • 2 scoops vanilla protein powder
  • 1 tbsp. walnuts
  • 1 tbsp. ground flaxseed

Nutrition Facts:

  • 500 calories
  • 57g protein
  • 54g carbs
  • 14g fiber
  • 11g fat
