MEMBER GUIDELINES

We want you to be safe at In-Shape Family Fitness. Please follow these guidelines. Have a great workout!

STAY HYDRATED

  • Make sure to drink water before, during and after your workouts

NUTRITION

  • Eat a well-balanced meal several hours before you begin

LOCK YOUR VEHICLE

  • Lock your doors
  • Do not leave valuables in plain sight

WORKOUT ATTIRE

  • Shirts must cover the back and chest
  • Shorts/pants must cover the entire bottom
  • Close-toed shoes are required at all times

PHOTOGRAPHY

  • Do not take pictures of others without their permission
  • Taking pictures and videos in locker rooms is strictly prohibited at all times

USE OF EQUIPMENT & AMENITIES

  • Stop exercising if you experience dizziness, pain, or unusual discomfort
  • Wipe down equipment after use
  • Keep gym bags and personal items out of walkways
  • Use caution when adjusting weights
  • Use safety equipment provided at machines (Jacob’s Ladder, Step Mill)

SELECTORIZED EQUIPMENT

  • Make sure that clips are secure and fastened on all handles and attachments before each use

CARDIO MACHINES

  • Ensure machine is at a complete stop before getting on/off
  • If there is a problem, let us know so we can mark it as out of service and get it repaired quickly

STUDIO CLASSES

  • Be on time
  • Listen to the instructor
  • Return equipment to storage racks
  • Do not enter the studio before the current class has finished

LOCKER ROOMS

  • Do not use camera cell phones in the locker room
  • Secure lockers with a padlock
  • Do not store valuables in lockers
  • Children under 13 years old are permitted only when accompanied by a parent/guardian
  • Children over four years old may not use the locker room of the opposite sex (family room is available)

SAUNA & STEAM ROOMS

  • Must be at least 16 years old
  • Limit use to 20 minutes or less
  • Do not use if you have high blood pressure, heart disease, diabetes, low blood sugar and respiratory problems, and those who are pregnant
  • Shower before entering
  • Towels and bathing suits are required
  • No street clothes and shoes allowed

KID ZONE

  • A parent/guardian must stay in the club
  • Children must be on a membership and may only be checked in or out by their parent/guardian on the same membership
  • Time limit: two hours maximum for any child
  • Age limits: 6 months up to 12 years old 

POOLS

  • Shower before entering
  • Proper swimwear required
  • Children under 13 years old must be always under supervision by a parent or legal guardian

LAP SWIM

  • Lap swimmers must share their lane when asked

FREE WEIGHTS

  • Return all weights to racks after use
  • Do not drop weights
  • Always use collars
  • Make sure all seats are secured and all pins in place

PICKLEBALL

  • Wear the right shoes
  • Take a break if you're feeling tired, winded, dizzy or drained
  • Do not hit, sit on, or jump over nets

RACQUETBALL

  • Protective eyewear and non-marking athletic shoes are required

TENNIS COURTS

  • Non-marking athletic shoes are required
  • Do not hit, sit on, or jump over nets
