How to Cancel Your Membership

BILLING UPDATE EFFECTIVE 11/16/20: If your home club is OPEN OUTDOORS, your membership status and billing have not been changed. If your home club is CLOSED, we’ve paused your membership billing. If you’d like to work out at a club with outdoor offering, you can re-reactivate your monthly billing or choose to pay $7 per person, per visit. You can make that selection when making a club reservation. You do need an active membership to access In-Shape Outdoors.

 

We love our members and hope to be a partner on their fitness journey for years to come! However, we understand that life happens–which is why we have made our memberships flexible and easy for members to adjust as needed with  month-to-month agreements.  

 

How to Cancel Your In-Shape Health Clubs Membership

We’re sorry to see you go. Did you know you can put your account on hold for up to 6 months? This way you won't be subject to new enrollment fees if you decide to return and you can keep your current membership pricing.

 

To put your account on hold, login to the In-Shape app or Member Hub and follow these steps:

  1. Click the navigation in the top left corner and select Profile
  2. Select Membership Holds and follow the prompts

 If you still would like to cancel, no problem. When you’re ready to come back, we’ll be here! 

 

If your home club is closed due to government mandate, we will shorten or waive your required 30-day cancellation notice in lieu of any partial-month credits given for the closure. We will not bill you new dues or annual fees while your home club is closed. If your home club is open/billing and your account is on freeze, you will need to reactivate your membership before you can cancel. Prorated dues may apply. 

 

The cancellation will be effective by completing one of the following actions:

 

1. Online Expedited Cancellation Request, click image below (preferred and quickest method)

2. Sending a letter via first class mail

Send a letter via first class mail to ISHC Member Services, 6507 Pacific Ave #344, Stockton, CA 95207

 

What you will need to cancel:

  • Name
  • Address
  • Phone
  • Email address
  • Account number/Key Tag number

 

3. In-person at a physical ISHC facility

 

4. Via Phone

Call Member Services at 877-446-7427

 

5. Via Email

Send an email to cancelme@inshape.com with the following details:

  • Name
  • Address
  • Phone
  • Email address
  • Account number/Key Tag number

 

A cancellation shall be deemed submitted on the date it is received in the ISHC Member Services office, whether via email or certified mail, the date the Cancel Me webform was completed, or, in the case of in-person cancellation at an ISHC facility, upon issuance of the ISHC email confirming receipt of the cancellation request. Please refer to your Membership agreement for additional agreement details and terms.

How to Cancel Your Personal Training Agreement

 

To cancel Personal Training, you must request a cancellation at least 30 days prior to the cancellation effective date. You may notify us of your cancellation either (1) via email to cancelmypt@inshape.com, (2) via first class mail to ISHC Member Services, 6507 Pacific Ave #344, Stockton, CA 95207 (to insure we receive your notice, we recommend using certified mail return-receipt requested), or (3) in-person at a physical ISHC location. 

 

A cancellation request shall be deemed submitted on the date it is received in the ISPT Member Services office, whether via email or first-class mail, or, in the case of in-person cancellation at an ISHC location, upon issuance of the ISPT email confirming receipt of the cancellation request.
