Planning for Spring Break, but don't have any travel plans? Since our kids won’t be logging into Zoom every day, they’ll need ways to stay busy, stay moving, and have fun. With beautiful spring weather on the way, here are 5 fun ways you and your kids can get moving together.

1. Take a hike

Find a new place to walk and explore with the kiddos. Don’t know where to start? We have lists of the best places to hike in Bakersfield and the Bay Area. If you have trouble getting the kids to walk, check out Coach Josh’s 5 tips for longer walks with your kids.

2. Get crafty

There’s nothing like a new craft kit or art project to keep little hands busy! Take a trip to the craft store and let your kids pick out their own project kit, or go the DIY route with Paper Bag Animal Puppets or Easy 3-Ingredient Slime.

3. Turn on the sprinklers

If the weather in your town is warm enough, turn on the sprinklers and have some fun in the sun! Practice your sprints through the water or turn on some music and play freeze dance.

4. Try a new recipe together

Get creative in the kitchen together! Your little chefs will love getting to enjoy the fruits of their labor. Speaking of fruit, why not try a new smoothie recipe every day of Spring Break?

5. Enjoy In-Shape Digital classes for kids

Did you know we have virtual workouts designed just for kids? We have classes for kids ages 5-8 and for kids ages 9-12. Get in on the fun and get moving with them! (In-Shape’s digital platform is free for In-Shape members) These classes are great for those unexpectedly rainy spring days.
