It’s the start of a new month (and a new year), so a chance to challenge yourself to a daily action that will lead to results. This January, join us for a month-long plank challenge, where each day builds on the last to strengthen that core in just a minute or two a day! Whether it’s in front of the TV after a long day, during your lunch break at work or after a great cardio session at the club, you can plank anywhere, wearing anything and at any time. 

 

 

Here are a couple of things to keep in mind when holding the plank position:

 

  • If you’re on your forearms, keep your elbows directly beneath your shoulders.
  • Press through your heels to lengthen your legs.
  • Pull your belly button in toward your spine, and up toward your ribs, to keep your back flat.
